Just yesterday, I caught wind of a very unfortunate situation – Dizennio Floral located in Vaughan was forced to close their doors. My heart breaks for all of the couples affected by this. The abrupt closing of this floral/decor studio is shocking. Even more shocking is the fact that they have kept the deposits from couples who booked with them, some I imagine months and months ago. On top of the list when planning a wedding is booking your essential vendors – this includes flowers/decor. I can imagine the anxiety, stress and sadness that these couples are currently feeling.
A couple of year’s ago, a similar situation occurred in this area with a wedding venue. Couples were left in a complete panic searching for somewhere to hold their wedding, some on extremely short notice (I’m talking weeks people!). Logistically, these couples were faced with a big challenge. The task to find a location they liked, that still had openings available (fingers crossed on their scheduled day), that their hired vendors could adapt to AND ensuring all of the guests were informed of the changes, was an immense undertaking. Being a planner, I was on the phone right away to get as much information as possible for the couples left in this tragic position!
If you, or someone you know, is affected by the closing of Dizennio Floral, please get in touch. I have posted on Facebook and Twitter offering to help these couples in any way I can. My help starts with a complimentary bridal bouquet and that is just the beginning. Imaging what these brides are feeling right now completely breaks my heart.
Rest assured, I promise to help you turn this situation around, forget it ever happened, and ensure your wedding is even better!
